Pragma is the name that most net-people know me by.

My real name is Szymon Stefanek. Szymon Tomasz Stefanek in fact, but nobody uses (nor knows) the second name.

I was born in Lublin, a large city in south-east Poland on 21st December 1975. Actually I'm living near a green italian city called Siena, where nobody is able to pronounce my name correctly.

I'm working as software analyst and developer in a small company (that I happen to own) and this eats half of my available time. I'm also on the way to finish my informatic engineering studies at the local university and this eats the second half of my available time. Beside this, I spend a some time (the third half?) in creating my little baby and in translating thoughts from polish, italian or english to C, C++, assembler, perl, shell code, php, java... or even C# or VB if I'm really forced to...

I'm interested in the human brain discovery and its emulation by the means of calculators thus one of my tasks is thinking and reading about it.

I often find myself attempting to emulate Allan Holdsworth with my electric guitar.
In random periods I paint strange things on large wood boards and then try to make them become real with the power of my thoughts.

I'm an active supporter of several free projects (free as in freedom!).
For example I'm helping in spreading free knowledge by writing articles for the italian edition of wikipedia.org.

Finally, when really have nothing else to do, I attempt to communicate physically with the people that I randomly meet.
