/ home / about pragmaware.net About pragmaware.net
wtf ?
From one side this is my personal virtual home: you're likely to find informations about me and the things I'm actually doing.
This is also the home of pragmaware.net: a sort of virtual software house. You will then find
sources for free knowledge and (usually) free software related to various areas.
This site is perpetually under construction so expect unfinished content and broken links all around :D
caveats
If the image in the box on the right has a black background, please go and grab a real browser.
Several versions of Internet Explorer do not support correctly even the plain <code> tag.
If you see strangely formatted text around then please go and grab a real browser.
The text on this site uses cascading style sheets. Some browsers do not support correctly even the version 1 of CSS: if the text looks strange please go and grab a real browser.
This site uses some minor CSS properties that at the moment of writing are supported by only few browsers.
One of such properties is "text-shadow" that makes the titles look so nice.
The two browsers that actually (March 2006) support it are konqueror
and Safari. Since konqueror runs on Linux
and Safari runs on MacOSX then in this case even getting a real browser might be hopeless.
Your only choice at this point is getting a real OS :)
tools
The layout of this site is completly "handmade". I've used gimp
for most of the graphics and ssex as php
editor. It is hosted on rigel, a great linux machine
running an apache web server.

credits
Some graphics, are derived from works made by others and thus I'm going to give their
deserved credit here.
Some of the images used in the header are made by AndidaS. Great ideas
and techniques. Take a look :)
One of the headers is based on "The Dance" by Trevor Konsko, an abstract 3d model posted
on deviantart a while ago.
More than one header is based on "The Colony" by Aleksandru Popescu, a hyper detailed
3d sci-fi landscape render still posted on deviantart.
The eyes used in the header were modelled by Emilio Sapia (aka sanciok). He should
have an entry on deviantart.com.. .but at the moment I can't find it :/
However, he is a member of Marla Singer,
so you if you need him, you can search for him on their site.
Anoter couple of blue eyes belongs to Avril Lavigne and has been color-altered by InterRRex
and posted on deviantart.
The "Chemical Dreams" blue abstract artwork is by GuRt1337 that claims the chemical
formulas on there being some sort of drugs (probably the ones used during the making of... :D).
Another strange "Se3d" symbol belongs to redhawk.
There is also a picture about Music by lib3rat3 and one by FalseReality13. Both were posted on deviantart.
